Asphalt Group Managed the 24/7 field operations that in 6 days repaired the approaches, seawalls and roadway that allowed the emergency vehicle and infrastructure vehicle access to Sanibel Island. The work involved importing 150K cubic yards of embankment, driving 20K sf of steel sheet piling, repairing 5 approach slabs, and placing over 40K tons of rubble riprap and bedding stone. The temp repairs were completed allowing access by the traveling public within 12 days. The phased design build portion of the final solution is ongoing
